- stuck with your lead magnet?
stuck with your lead magnet?
Every week I have on average about 10 calls with one of you guys.
Free calls, 1-1 strategy calls, client calls, group mastermind calls, just-mates having-a-piss-around calls.
Whatever.
The point is, I spend a fuck ton of time on Zoom each week nattering away with you lot.
Which is great.
Firstly because I actually enjoy chatting with you lovely lot.
But more importantly because it enables me to identify common problems you’re all struggling with.
Because in my experience, if a few people are struggling with something, then a whole bunch of people are struggling with it.
And one struggle which keeps coming up over and over and over again on these calls is this:
“I want to create a lead magnet but I don’t know what to make it about!”
On literally every single call I have with someone, they’re almost always in the process of either making a lead magnet or they’re second-guessing themselves about the lead magnet they’ve already made.
And I’ve been there too.
It’s a hard decision.
Lead magnets take a long time to make and if you’re about to dedicate 2+ weeks to making one, you want to make absolutely sure it’s going to pop the fuck off.
I get it.
Before I’d created my first lead magnet (an E-Book on how to write eye-catching hooks) I constantly umm-ed and ahh-ed about which topic I should choose for it.
I doubted myself for days on end.
I changed my mind over and over again.
And then, even when I had finally decided to commit to a topic, there was still this nagging voice in the back of my head going “are you SUREEEEEE this is the right one to go with?”
It was a fucking nightmare.
What I really wanted was for someone to sit me down, grab me by the scruff of the neck, and tell me “Look, this is what you’re going to write about. The topic idea is good. Stop being a baby. Commit to it and see what happens.”
That would’ve made my life so much easier.
And that’s actually why I’ve just rambled on for 5 minutes straight.
Because I know how many of you guys are also in the same boat.
So I want to help you out with that.
And here’s how that’s going to work:
Reply to this email with “Magnet” plus a bit about your brand, your niche, what you stand for etc. etc. and I will reply back and give you some advice about the lead magnet I would create if I were in your shoes.
(FYI - I’m about halfway through the free profile audits I promised you guys 🙂 if you haven’t received yours yet, stay patient - I promise it’s on its way!)
And speaking of lead magnets…
