A quick insight into Kortex

Had my call with Dan Koe the other night.

And just to get it out the way early….

The call was WAY more focused on Kortex than I initially thought it would be — and so there honestly was fuck all time for me to ask the questions you guys submitted to Dan.

I’ll touch on my initial impressions of Kortex in a moment.

But before that…

You guys submitted some absolute BANGERS of questions for Dan (which I had a lot of fun answering myself).

And, even though I didn’t get a chance to ask Dan these, I couldn’t waste the chance to share some of the corkers that got submitted with you.

So, here goes.

The 3 best submissions from my (slightly botched) contest:

In the Bronze Medal position, we have Mr Sankar Nirmal — don’t have your X handle, but if you reply I’ll drop you a follow!

========================

Bronze Medal Question: “If you lived in a colonial or Medieval village, what would your job be, and why?”

========================

Personally?

Imma have to go with Blacksmith.

Kinda OP to be the guy producing all the swords and battle-axes for the town, IMO.

Thoughts?

Right. Onto the Silver Medal question.

This one comes in from Fanwaz (again, drop me your X handle and I’ll follow you):

========================

Silver Medal Question: “If you had to swap lives with a character from a fictional TV show, or video game, who would it be, and why?”

========================

I had to think about this one for ages, but, in all honesty, there’s only one answer for me:

Phil Dunphy from Modern Family.

Dude just seems so satisfied with his life, spends the whole time fucking around, and I’m also just a sucker for sarcasm.

And, finally.

In the Gold Medal position.

The moment you’ve all been waiting for.

And coming in HOT from Mr Lewis O’Brien, we haveeeeeeee….

========================

Gold Medal Question: “If you had 4 years to reach the Olympics in any sport, which would you choose and why?”

========================

Honestly, I loved this question.

Initially I was gonna say 100m sprint.

But I just ain’t got the genetic potential for that (big ol’ thighs).

And the way I see it, the sport where I would have the BEST chance of actually getting to the Olympics would be some sort of skill-based sport like Shooting.

I figure this is the sport where you’ve got the best bet of “outworking” people so, if my goal was to get to the Olympics at all costs, I reckon that’s where I’d stick my money.

What do you reckon?

And, as promised:

Please go follow Lewis on X here.

I personally already follow Lewis because he’s bangs out some genuinely insightful content about human psychology, and cool “bigger picture” ideas about life.

Thoroughly recommend you check him out too.

Now, before you go…

A quick insight into Kortex.

I’ll admit — I was a bit sceptical of a “second brain” app. It just sounded like another note taking software dressed up in a fancy gown.

But after getting a peek inside, and playing around with it for the last 24 hours, I can genuinely say this thing is going to be useful as fuck.

Because one of the things I find when I’m taking notes is that not only do they get scattered across a bunch of different apps (based on whichever one is nearest to my thumb when I have the idea, lol), but there’s no way to draw connections between my ideas.

For example…

Let’s say I have a “brainwave” that top of funnel social media content should be focused on targeting awareness levels 1-3, and I want to write a tweet or email about this in the future.

Well, I can just use Kortex’s “idea capture” feature, create a “tag” (e.g. #content) at the time of capture, and then filter all my content ideas by #content when I next want to find something to write about.

Super clean.

Super useful.

And, while there’s a bunch more useful features I’m still toying around with, I’m liking what I see so far tbh. Will deffo be using this myself for future courses, products, and content creation process.

Right.

That’s it from me today.

Talk soon,

Harry

PS. Curious to hear your guys’ answers to the 3 questions above.

Reply and lemme know if you’ve got any better ideas!
