Lead "butter fingers"
“It’s all in the follow up”.
That is the line which stuck in my brain like a fly on shit as soon as I heard it from a guy who scaled his consulting business to $90k/month in under 6 months (and who I’m now close friends with).
It triggered me beyond belief.
Why?
Because…
I used to be fucking terrible at following up with people on Twitter.
I knew I needed to be keeping track of my leads.
I knew I was letting revenue slip through my fingers.
And I knew I needed to find a solution.
But it ain’t that easy.
Because, to put it frankly…
Twitter DMs are a fucking mess.
Messages disappear.
You can’t remember who you’ve talked to.
And there is simply no way to fix this on the platform.
As soon as 1-2 days have gone by, you’ve completely lost track of who you’ve been messaging, whether they were interested in your offer, and where they are in your “sales” process.
Maybe you know the feeling?
It’s just a complete and utter shitshow.
And it only gets worse as you grow.
But it’s not just that Twitter DMs are a mess.
It’s also hard to know what to say to your prospects to lead them towards your offer.
What opening message should you send?
What questions do you need to ask to understand their problems?
What’s the best way to pitch someone on your offer without coming across as too salesy?
These are all the questions I was stuck with for MONTHS on Twitter.
The result?
Constant stress trying to manage who was a potential client.
Constant doubt about whether I was sending the “right” messages.
And a business bleeding revenue unnecessarily.
So, I asked myself…
