I’ve gone 0 → 3,000+ on 𝕏 in ~80 days.

But I didn’t do everything perfectly.

In fact, I did a whole lot of stuff wrong.

Especially at the start.

So this one is for you guys who are earlier on in your 𝕏 journey.

Take my mistakes, apply the lessons I’ve learned and skyrocket yourself up the 𝕏 ranks as quickly as possible.

Here’s exactly how I’d go from 0 → 1,000 followers on 𝕏 as quickly as possible if I had to start over today:

1) 1 KILLER long form every Monday-Friday

Long forms are what put my name on the 𝕏 map.

More specifically, killer long forms that I wrote specifically to set myself apart from all the other mediocre content out there.

These enabled me to IMMEDIATELY establish my brand’s authority without needing to have any real “results” to speak of.

They will do the same for you if you learn to craft them effectively.

Now.

I want to be clear.

Even if your long forms are absolutely mind blowing, they will NOT help you grow in and of them self.

These long forms are not going to magically blow up and get you 10k+ impressions and transform you into an overnight success.

And that’s OK.

Because that’s not what your long forms are there for.

Your long forms are there so that when someone DOES click on your profile, they’re immediately greeted by a barrage of value that only an idiot would not want to follow along with.

So then the question becomes, how do you get people to click on your profile in the first place.

And I’m about to give you some EXTREMELY controversial advice regarding this.

2) Post ZERO short form tweets

You heard that right.

And yes, I realise this is fucking blasphemy.

But I mean it.

Because you have to realise something.

Until you get to 1k+ followers, you get basically ZERO organic growth on 𝕏.

My early short form tweets were pretty good (in my opinion).

But they did fuck all to help me grow (or build authority for that matter).

Because you simply don’t get enough reach on your posts when you’re under 1k followers.

I’d waste 3+ hours a week writing them.

And saw very little in the way of results from them.

Now, I am not saying short form tweets have no purpose - they do.

And don’t get me wrong, if you’re walking down the street and get struck by a moment of genius you want to tweet about, then fucking go for it.

Just don’t spend hours upon hours scheduling short forms like most people advise you to do.

The ROI you get on these is much lower than if you focus on using long forms to build authority and then dedicate all your spare time to engaging with others’ posts (which brings me onto my next tip…)

3) Comment like a motherfucker

If you want to grow fast on 𝕏 then you need to be everywhere.

All over people’s timeline.

ALL the time.

People need to get used to seeing your face day in and day out without fail.

That’s what is eventually going to pique their curiosity and make them click on your profile.

And when they see the dope ass long forms you’ve been bashing out as we talked about in step 1, there’s no fucking way they aren’t gonna follow along with you.

My growth really started taking off when I dedicated 20 minutes every morning, afternoon and evening to leaving 30 comments each session.

And by the way.

When it comes to commenting.

I have one tip for you:

Act like you are already best mates with the person whose tweets you’re commenting on.

Take the piss.

Have a laugh.

Call them a wanker (jokingly, obviously).

This is how you stand out and actually get noticed.

By being FUN.

Because if you’re one of the 100’s of other NPC’s whose comments are just a re-worded version of the original tweet, no one’s gonna notice you.

I’ve found the more you focus on having fun in the comments, the better your results will be, the more people you’ll form tight bonds with and the faster you’ll grow.

4) Reply to EVERY comment

You need to nurture your community.

Especially in the early days.

Replying to their comments is how you do this.

It shows you value the time that person has taken out of their day to interact with YOUR post.

Because, believe me, these are the people who will either end up paying for your stuff down the road or, even better, the people you’ll end up being best buds with.

And let’s be real, this really doesn’t take long when you’re only getting 15-20 comments a day in the early days.

5) Launch an irresistible lead magnet at the 500 follower mark

If you do a giveaway right, it’s a fucking nuclear bomb for quick growth.

And right around the 500 follower mark is when you have just enough traction for a giveaway to potentially explode (I launched my first one slightly too late, around the 700 follower mark).

Here’s my track record with my 3 giveaways (so far…):

+250 followers in 48 hours.

+450 followers in 48 hours.

+850 followers in 48 hours.

So yeah, if you do them right, they work like a charm.

The key to these results is launching a giveaway that’s so fucking attractive when it pops up on people’s feeds that they’d feel like the kid at school who doesn’t get invited to the biggest party of the year if they didn’t download it.

6) Build a sick community on my way up

My final tip is cliche but it’s true.

Build a FUCKING community.

Start a Telegram group.

Outreach to 3-5 guys you’re close with initially.

Then let it spiral from there and add creators who you genuinely click with.

You have no idea how powerful the connections you make in these groups are until you’ve been in one.

And you’ll REALLY put your name on the map if it’s you’re the founder of the group.

So there you are guys.

Those are the 6 steps I’d take to go from 0 → 1,000 followers on 𝕏 in as little time as possible if I had to start over.

Some controversial.

Some less so.

But they’re all damn simple and effective nonetheless.
