How I'm repositioning my brand

Where will you be 6 months from now?

That’s a question I asked myself yesterday.

Because I’ve done a lot of stuff in the past 10 months.

I’ve helped multiple brands cross the $10k/month mark.

I’ve helped founders and CEOs bring new products to market and drive upwards of $70k in sales from TINY audiences.

And I’ve even released my first digital product (which has always been a goal of mine).

But when I sat down with my dad yesterday, and he asked me what my “next move” was for my brand, that’s the question that popped into my head.

Here’s what I told him:

I’ve fucking LOVED sharing my journey out of my 9-5, and into the world of personal branding and digital marketing.

I’ve met awesome people.

And I think I’ve had a genuinely positive impact on people’s lives, shown them what’s possible, and hopefully inspired them to make the same leap of faith (even if it’s scary AF).

But it’s time to think “bigger”.

Because The Creator Economy is a great place to learn.

It’s an amazing space to hone your skillset, connect with people 1-2 steps ahead of you in the game, and “test” your ideas.

But one of the downsides is…

It’s also FULL of other marketers.

You are literally playing the game on “expert mode”.

You’re selling to the 0.1% of the world. And it’s fucking HARD.

But the good news is…

There’s a whole world of ESTABLISHED businesses out there doing MILLIONS in revenue every year who know absolutely fuck all about funnel building, email marketing, how to build their online presence, or even basic copywriting concepts like “levels of awareness”.

I will never forget once being on a call with a Founder who was bringing a new product to market and explaining what “market sophistication” meant, only for him to see me as some kind of copywriting wizard, lol.

That’s how WIDE OPEN the playing field is once you broaden your horizons outside of Money X.

That’s what I want you to take from this email today.

You have NO IDEA how in-demand your skillset is.

You have NO IDEA how valuable you ALREADY are.

If you have even a BASIC understanding of how to set up a landing page, send a half-decent email or how to set up a quick funnel, you are MORE than qualified to help these businesses.

But you need to get your foot in the door.

That’s the hard part, right?

Finding these people in the first place and then POSITIONING yourself as the person who can help them.

Well, I can tell you this:

If your profile looks anything like “I Ghostwrite for Founders and CEOs to help them build their online presence” or “I’ll get you 30 leads in the next 90 days with [XYZ] system” then you are playing a losing game.

Because that is NOT what these guys are thinking about on a daily basis.

You are NOT “meeting them where they’re at”.

And you are not showing a TRUE appreciation for the real-world EXPERIENCE they are going through on a daily basis.

No business owner is lying awake til 3AM thinking “god, I really need a Ghostwriter, right now” or “god, I really need more leads right now”.

They do need this stuff.

But that is not top-of mind for them.

They are inundated with an absolute shit-storm of operational headaches, stresses about their product development, and sleepless nights worrying that their months of hard work will go to waste when they next launch.

And until you learn to RELATE your offer to them in a way which ALIGNS with their CURRENT DAILY PAINS… they will not see the immense value you have to add to their business.

This is not hard to do.

But it makes all the difference in the world.

And that is what I want you to take away from this email today:

The immense value you have to offer (even if you don’t believe in yourself, I do).

But you must learn how to speak the same language as these bigger “fish”, express your value in a way they can APPRECIATE, and position yourself as someone who can be a MASSIVE value-add to their business.

I’m getting heated today.

But, as I keep saying in these emails — that’s because I want you to win.

I want you to evolve with me.

I’ve already planned out the EXACT steps I’m taking to reposition my brand to speak to these higher level business owners going forwards so that I can stop playing the game on “hard mode”, and start getting paid what I’m truly worth (and which you are too).
