My first $10k month

my reflections

Well.

It’s the last day of February.

And it’s a dreary day here in the UK (as always).

But this is for sure going to be a day I remember for the rest of my life.

Because after just 4 months of sending out these emails you guys apparently like, I’ve done it.

I just hit my first $10,000 month.

I can’t quite believe I’m typing that out right now.

When I first started writing online less than 120 days ago, I thought a milestone like this would take years to achieve (if ever).

It seemed sooooo far away.

This golden standard that was reserved only for the best of the best, not plebs like me that still go and get utterly obliterated at raves (occasionally).

The level of gratitude I feel right now is pretty hard to describe.

And because of that, I want to start this email off by saying one thing to you guys:

Thank you.

Because none of this, absolutely none of it, would be possible without you guys.

Literally every single one of you that reads these emails I throw together while sat at my dining table each morning, covered head to toe in layer after layer of clothes, desperately trying to fight off the cold British weather.

You’re the ones that made this whole thing possible.

And I am eternally grateful.

Anyways, I wanted to reflect a little bit on this crazy adventure.

I started writing in August last year.

Not online.

Just for me.

I’d just been through a pretty horrific breakup.

I was at the lowest point of my life.

Completely inconsolable.

And opening up my laptop every day to jot down my ponderings on the world seemed to be the only thing that actually made me happy.

Well, words turned into paragraphs.

Paragraphs into articles.

And articles into a full collection of Word Documents I’ve probably still got saved down on my laptop somewhere (maybe I’ll dig them out one day for a bit of nostalgia).

It wasn’t long before I completely fell in love with the process.

In fact, there’s one moment that sticks out in particular.

I was on a solo trip in a quaint little town in Greece called Thessaloniki.

I’d climbed Mount Olympus the day prior.

I was sat by the coast, laptop in hand, sun beating down, reflecting on the experience and beating away at my keyboard like a fucking drummer.

And that’s when it hit me.

The fact that this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

To write.

To feel flow.

To be truly, genuinely, undeniably, free.

And it wasn’t long after that when I stumbled upon the YouTube channels of Nicolas Cole and Dan Koe.

My eyes were opened to a whole new world.

And, well, that was it.

Within hours I knew this was my calling.

They’d shown me the way.

All I had to do was make it a reality.

I made my first X post some time in early-mid November (if my memory serves me correctly).

God I dread to think of the shit I was posting back then… (Please feel free to scroll back through my timeline and roast me for my abysmal content haha).

But over time, I found my feet.

Figured out what worked, what didn’t.

I realised there were only a few core principles which actually matter:

1) Fast, decisive action is everything.
2) One big task, every single day. Anything extra is gravy.
3) You don’t have to be at 100% every day, you just can’t be at 0%.

These 3 principles have underpinned every single part of my X journey.

I haven’t been even close to perfect.

I’ve slept in.

I’ve prioritised life over work.

I’ve gone out, got hammered and fallen behind on posting.

But that’s life, isn’t it.

You don’t have to be perfect.

You just have to commit to continually getting back on the horse every single day.

Constantly striving for 1% improvements day after day, week after week, month after month.

And if you do that?

Well, nothing can really stop you can it.

I’m going to be doing a separate post on my plans to scale to $30k/mo and beyond over the next 12 months.

But for now, I just want to say thank you again.

My common sense crew.

I fucking love every single one of you.

Talk soon,

Harry
