Don't have client results? Do this

I get this question all the time.

“Harry, how the hell am I supposed to charge clients money when I don’t have any results to show them?”

In fact, it’s probably THE most common question I get from anyone I work with.

And up until 30-40 days ago, I was faced with the same conundrum myself.

It seemed like an impasse.

Like I was stuck in the mud with no way out.

But fortunately, there’s actually a very simple solution to this predicament.

And I’m about to spell it out for you in graphic detail.

And, as always, you don’t have to follow this advice.

It got me to $6k/month in 90 days and has flooded me with a wall of testimonials from all the people I’ve worked with.

But you’re more than welcome to tell me I’m a moron and go your own route.

This is your journey, after all.

Step 1: Understand the problem better than your prospects

Everyone wants to skip this step.

“Boringgggggggg” I can hear them say.

They act as though they’re 2006 Adam Sandler in Click (anyone remember that movie??) with the ability to skip through all the hard parts of the journey.

They want to get straight to the point where they’re driving round a Lambo with 3 hot blonde supermodels riding passenger.

Sorry, that ain’t how this works.

If you want people to pay you their hard-earned money you must first demonstrate an absolutely ridiculous level of understanding towards the problems they are facing.

How?

Open up a Notion document.

Title it “Problem database”.

Open the X app.

Find a post talking about the problem you want to solve.

Dip into the comments and find people asking questions / feeling confused about that problem.

DM every single one of them and get to know them.

Then mention you saw they were stuggling with [insert problem] and say you’d like to help them out (make it abundantly clear you’re not trying to sell them anything).

Offer to hop on a free call with them.

During the call I want you to be noting down every issue that person is facing in your “Problem database”.

Once you’ve done this with 15-20 people (yes, that many), you’re going to re-organise your database and find the 5 most common problems.

Now the fun part begins.

Step 2: Become your N of 1

You’re now going to solve those problems for yourself.

Become your own case study.

If you cannot do this then you either:

  • Don’t understand the problem well enough (return to step 1), or

  • Lack the skill to solve the problem (spend more time mastering your craft).

But let’s presume you’ve now solved the problem.

Step 3: Make an X post about it

This part is fucking easy.

Literally all you have to do now is open the X app, press that big “Post” button at the bottom and write a fucking epic long form / thread about how you solved the problem.

Then just sit back and watch as people earlier in their journey applaud you for how helpful your post has been for them.

Immediate authority builder.

Your name is now growing.

You’re starting to show your competency.

But you aren’t done yet.

Now you need to show your solution doesn’t just work for you.

You need to prove it works for other people too.

Step 4: Offer FREE work

“FREE!”

“You told me I was gonna make moneyyyyyy!!!!!!”

If this is your attitude then you will never make a dime on the internet.

Because it’s one thing solving problems for yourself.

But it’s a totally different ball game solving problems for someone else.

And if you can’t do this then you really have no business charging people money for it, do you?

That would be rather disingenuous, wouldn’t it.

So find the people struggling with the problem (same way you did in step 1).

Except this time you’re going to offer to work with them for FREE until you have made all their problems go away.

If they need extra convincing to let you help them then you can show them your X post about how you solved it for yourself (but 99% of the time this won’t be necessary given you’re not charging them anything).

Now you just gotta apply your solution to their specific circumstances, figure out how to make their problems go away and give em a fucking fist bump when you overdeliver beyond their wildest dreams.

And again, if you can’t do this, return to step 1. You need more work.

Step 5: Stack undeniable authority on X

You’re now going to do something very important.

You are going to go onto X and (with the person’s permission) create a DETAILED write up (long form / thread) of the results you achieved for them.

This is going to make the entirety of X say:

“Hey, this guy might ACTUALLY know what he’s doing! Maybe he’s worth checking out!”

You are demonstrating competency.

Building authority.

That is how it’s done.

And before you know it, you’ll have people reaching out to you in the DM’s asking if you can help them with their specific situation.

Except this time you wont be working for free will you.

You’ll have proven your worth.

Shown your value.

And now you’re ready to start charging the $$$’s.

It’s really that simple guys.

Research → Solve the problem yourself → Document your solution on X → Solve for others for FREE → Document results on X → Start charging.

You can try to short circuit this path.

To avoid the hard work.

But you’ll only end up back at square 1 a month later.

Trust me.

The long path is the shortest one.

Talk soon,

Harry

PS. My 1-1 client spots and all my 1-1 strategy calls for this month are all filled.

But I know a lot of you are still struggling with building and monetizing your brand on X so I want to help out as much as I can.

Reply to this email with “Brand”, tell me the biggest thing you’re struggling with right now and I’ll try to help you out as best I can over email!
